Creating a Culture of Reading at home and school.

Bug Club Reading Homework is monitored by each class teacher on a weekly basis and is the minimum requirement for enhancing reading and fluency skills. The Bug Club books are set at the level appropriate for each year group and cover a wide range of interesting subject areas. Children should be exposed to fiction and non- fiction texts through novels, magazines , comics, graphic comics (age-appropriate of course!), through use of the school library, our local library and book swaps. We would encourage parents to engage in reading for pleasure experiences with your children.
