Mr.O'Neill is setting everyone a great reading challenge for the month of April.
You have a weekly challenge to read four books - 5 points per book.
Each book will present a challenge for you to complete ( audio books and comics are acceptable too!)
Improvise if you haven't got an exact book at home. If , the book has loads of chapters , read a few chapters only. Teacher set tasks can also be used.
Week One :
- Read a book that you chose because you like the cover.
- Read a story featuring a really good villain.
- Read a non-fiction book about a hero.
- Read a book by your favourite author.
Week Two :
- Read a book a with a red cover.
- Make your own cartoon strip about a super hero ( you can create your own)
- Read a story about a person in history that you would like to find out about.
- Read a story to your granny or granda.
Week Three:
- Listen to a David Walliams story https://www.worldofdavidwalliams.com
- Read about a famous place in the world.
- Read aloud to someone in your family.
- Listen to someone reading a bedtime story to you.
Week Four :
- Go to commonsensemedia.org and download a podcast (awesome podcast for little kids - teenagers!)
- Read a non-fiction book about an animal.
- Read a book in an unusual place.
- Make a story script for your class.
