P1 Tea Party Fun - With a Surprise Visit!
Our Primary 1 children had a roarsome time when they celebrated the end of our shared text, The Tiger Who Came to Tea by Judith Kerr, with their very own Tea Party!
The classroom was transformed into a cosy tea room, complete with beautiful table settings, delicious food and of course - lots of tea! The children enjoyed sandwiches, fruit and some homemade treats, while practising their best manners, drinking tea and chatting with friends.
But that wasn't the biggest surprise...
Just as the children were enjoying their tea, Pudsey Bear arrived to join the party! The were plenty of waves and hugs and even a few dance moves as Pudsey greeted all the children. He had a lovely time with our P1s and was keen to get to the BBC for Children In Need later that evening.
When working with the shared text the children had been retelling the story, acting it out and even imagining what the tiger would do on his next adventure. The tea party was the perfect way to bring their learning to life - full of imagination, sharing and a little bit of magic too.
It was a tea-riffic day in P1!
