First Communion 16t May 2026

It was a  wonderful morning , on Saturday 16th, as we celebrated First Holy Communion with our Primary 4 pupils and their extended families. The occasion was filled with joy, reverence, and pride as the children marked this very special milestone in their faith journey. It was also, so wonderful to see so many P4 pupils in attendance to celebrate their friend's faith journey.

Special thanks are shared with  Mrs S. O'Reilly & Mr .Rafferty, P4 teachers, & Miss Mc Quaid (RE co ordinator) for their dedication and care in preparing the pupils so thoughtfully for this sacrament.

A sincere thank you to our school choir for their beautiful music, led by Mrs Mc Sorley & Mrs Beegan, which added so much to the celebration.

We are also very grateful to Mrs Austin, Ms Sloan & Ms McNabb &  for her invaluable help in organising the event and supporting the children with their work, displays, and practices leading up to the day.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the our parish priest, Fr Stephen, for leading such a meaningful and memorable ceremony.

The celebrations continued afterwards in the school dinner hall, were the PTA and P4 parents had organised  lots of  thoroughly enjoyable refreshments, as we celebrated together as a year group together. Thank you to everyone who kindly made and donated food, and to the parents who helped serve refreshments—your generosity and support are deeply appreciated.

Well done, everyone!. We hope you had a special day!
