Untold Museum- Artefacts That Tell a Story
P4 and P5 stepped back in time for our World War 2 Day with a fascinating visit from the Untold Museum. The children had the incredible opportunity to see real artefacts that brought history to life, including the original football used during the famous Christmas Day match between British and German soldiers in World War 1 – a powerful reminder of humanity even in times of conflict.
We also explored a 110-year-old teddy bear that once brought comfort to a child during wartime, and a remarkable cup with a bullet lodged in it, which saved the life of the soldier holding it. These objects sparked curiosity, thoughtful questions and meaningful discussions about life during the war.
- The children looked fantastic dressed as evacuees, soldiers, nurses and members of the Home Front, helping to create a truly immersive and memorable day of learning.
