Anti-Bullying Week 16th-20th November

11th Nov 2020

Dear Parents, Carers, and children,

We are delighted to participate in the NI Forum's ABW 20 campaign, which will focus on the theme for Anti-Bullying Week 2020 - United Against Bullying.

Read our Anti-Bullying Week 2020 manifesto for change:

This year, more than ever, we’ve witnessed the positive power that society can have when we come together to tackle a common challenge.

Anti-Bullying Week is no different. Bullying has a long lasting effect on those who experience and witness it. But by channelling our collective power, through shared efforts and shared ambitions, we can reduce bullying together. From parents and carers, to teachers and politicians, to children and young people, we all have a part to play in coming together to make a difference.

We’re all a piece in the puzzle, and together, we’re united against bullying.

What’s Happening?

As part of Anti-Bullying Week 2020, NIABF is excited to be bringing Odd Socks Day on Monday 16th November.  Odd Socks Day is an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique! There is no pressure to wear the latest fashion or for parents to buy expensive costumes. All you have to do to take part is wear odd socks to school.(Girls can wear their odd socks over their odd socks over their tights!)

All year groups will be be participating in a range of ABW lessons and creative activities. Please see link for further details http://www.endbullying.org.uk/anti-bullying-week/competition/
