Welcome to P1
This year our Primary 1 teachers are Mrs. McSorley (P1A) and Mrs. O'Reilly (P1B) and our assistant is Mrs. Armstrong.
In Primary 1 the children build on the learning experiences that they bring to school from home and/or pre-school. They learn through planned, challenging play to develop their interests, curiosity and creativity. Our Play Based Learning (PBL) helps to support children’s social, emotional and educational development.
Many of the activities we complete across the areas of learning (both during PBL and in whole-class/group activities) are practical in their basis to aid the children's understanding of concepts.
We use the Seesaw app to communicate photos and messages to parents of the learning that the children have completed across the term.
